This is the debut from Swedish piano trio Space Face. After playing together for years they finally decided to record their first album, which consists of a mix of tunes written by the different band members. The music itself is reminiscent of traditional nordic music and of contemporary jazz, free jazz, etc. They approach each tune with an open mind and are not afraid to allow the music to be big or small, loud or quiet.

William Soovik Grand Finale

This recording consists of songs from both our first and second album. It was recorded by the Swedish national radio,
on the last night of our year-long run as the once-a-month house band, in the cellar of a local watering whole. The
concert was broadcast, in its entirety, during the summer of 2020. We allowed ourselves to cherry-pick some tunes for the album, but most of the concert is on there. The energy is high and the vibe is unprestigious. The music takes off in all
kinds of directions but is at the same time somewhat unified. It’s definitely more “free-jazzy” then the earlier studio
albums, but that feels totally right!

This is the wonderful debut from Swedish sax-player and composer extraordinaire, Axel Mårdsjö. The album was recorded live in concert at Artisten in Gothenburg, in the end of May 2017. With him on stage is some of the finest contemporary jazz musicians that you can find in Gothenburg, and it's evident in the sound.
The compositions show a wide range of Axel's musicality and skill as a composer. Layered rythms are mixed with complex and beautiful harmony. Allways highly musical and allways swinging.
